QPP Initiatives
At Queensland Positive People, all that we do is to help people live well with HIV.
Our community initiatives provide social connection and support, financial assistance, awareness, remembrance, and consultation. These are all informed by the lived experience and provide ways to help people living with HIV can enjoy life to its full potential.

Better Connect+
Because being active and connected isn’t just good for your physical and mental health—it’s something you deserve. Life is richer when shared with others.
World AIDS Day
Since 1988, World AIDS Day has been held globally on 1 December. Its focus is to raise awareness across the world and in the community about HIV and AIDS.
HOPE Fund
Provides small grants for goods and services to PLHIV, who are experiencing financial hardship, have a demonstrated material need and/or are looking to improve their lives.

SNACK Podcast Series
SNACK (Some New Aged Care Knowledge) Podcast Series is designed for home care staff or people training/planning to join the home care workforce. Each podcast focuses on the real experiences of providing, and receiving, person-centred care.
Social Connection & Groups
We have numerous social groups that run at different times throughout the year. It’s a great place to meet others living with HIV and share stories and make friends.
Planet Positive
A social event for people living with HIV and their family and friends to improve their emotional and social wellbeing in a welcoming, safe and enjoyable environment.
