In our large state of Queensland, with a broad geographical dispersal of the HIV-positive population, it’s difficult to be regularly present and face-to-face with the community in all locations. However, we have teamed up, once again, with the National Association of People Living with HIV (NAPWHA) to bring a treatment discussion forum to the community, through NAWPHA’s national education support funding initiatives. On this occasion we have chosen Cairns, given the larger numbers of PLHIV living in that region.
All people living with HIV, in the Cairns region, and their partners, friends, family, carers and service providers are cordially invited to the QPP/NAPWHA Great Treatment Roadshow Debate – with our distinguished guest speakers, debaters, and community panellists, for a lively evening of discussion on the latest HIV topics and news, with a focus on treatment as prevention within a debate style format. There has been significant recent news updates regarding this topic we would like to share with the community. We also encourage you to bring your ‘burning’ HIV treatment-related questions along and join in the discussion…
This event will be held in Cairns in the evening of Wednesday 13th May 2015 at the Rydges Tradewinds, 137 The Esplanade, Cairns, from 6pm.
Food and refreshments will be provided.
RSVP is essential for catering purposes by 4th May as places are limited. Book in early to avoid disappointment. Please also let us know any dietary requirements you may have upon booking (e.g. vegetarian, gluten free, etc.).
For booking and further information please contact QPP on 1800 636 241 or email info@qpp.org.au
We look forward to a lively debate and some social engagement time within the Cairns community, seeing new and old friends…
