QPP & USQ HAND Research
Queensland Positive People in association with University of Southern Queensland is conducting research into HIV Associated Neurocognitive Disorder (HAND).
We are gathering Queensland community perspectives from people diagnosed with HAND, people living long-term with HIV (diagnosed before 1996) and people who have significant concerns about HAND or people who have been screened for HAND.
All participants must be living in Queensland, over 18 years of age, and diagnosed with HIV.
HAND Focus Groups
We are conducting two focus groups for people living long-term with HIV (diagnosed before 1996) and people who have significant concerns about HAND or people who have been screened for HAND. The focus groups will be conducted by researchers from University of the Southern Queensland and are confidential. One focus group will be online and the other in person,
Online focus group: Wednesday 5 April, 17.00-18.30
In person focus group: Monday 3 April, 15.00 – 16.30

HAND One on One Interviews
We are holding one to one interviews for people diagnosed with HAND. The interviews will be conducted by researchers from University of the Southern Queensland and are confidential. Interviews for people diagnosed with hand will be online.

Research Involvement
Participants will be remunerated for their time with a $100 gift voucher, vouchers will be emailed to people on completion of the focus group or interview, focus groups and interviews will take approximately 90 minutes.
