Let’s change the conversation, and end stigma.
Who’s it for?
This campaign is for you. For everyone. Everyone should understand a little about HIV today, no matter their gender, sexuality, or culture. HIV doesn’t discriminate, people do. That’s what we are here to change.
What’s it about?
It’s a self-educating campaign. If you get to know a person for more than just their HIV status, you realise they can still lead a full and vibrant life.
The campaign isn’t about HIV, it’s about people living with HIV. HIV is only one part of their story, possibly the least interesting part, and it certainly doesn’t define them. It’s just part of their life, and it’s a life they deserve to live without stigma and discrimination.
Where’s it shown?
It’s shown throughout Brisbane and South East Queensland, on billboards, digital displays, social media, TV and radio, with the generous support of our campaign partners.
Why’s it needed?
HIV stigma has a huge impact on the quality of life of people with HIV, not only in Queensland but all over the world. The lack of current knowledge about HIV and HIV stigma also prevents timely testing, which means people go longer before being diagnosed. We will only end HIV if we end HIV stigma.
