Our HIV Emergency Treatment Fund
Here at QPP, we believe that everyone has the right to safe and effective healthcare – this includes those who may not qualify for support through the Medicare system.
We acknowledge that our community is made up of people from all walks of life and understand that sometimes a little bit of extra support is needed to ensure that essential, health-related items are available to those who need them. Medication is one of those things.
If you, or someone you care for is living with HIV, and is experiencing financial hardship and requires assistance with HIV related treatment and services, the Emergency Treatment Fund (ETF) may be able to help.
The fund provides emergency funding for HIV related treatment and services, including access to services and items that can assist with maintenance of HIV treatment access. The Emergency Treatment Fund is available to all PLHIV in Queensland who are experiencing financial hardship after avenues of immediate short-term support have been explored.
This fund does not accept applications from individuals. You will need ask one of the following to complete the application form on your behalf or on behalf of the person living with HIV:
- Queensland Positive People
- Your doctor or HIV specialist
- Your regular pharmacist

Peer Navigation
Early intervention program to support those newly diagnosed with HIV and those re-engaging with care to navigate the complex environment of HIV care and treatment.
Case Management
A holistic approach to support PLHIV to address barriers such as homelessness, mental health and other issues that might impact their management of HIV.
