About Digital Health Connect
QPP with the support of ViiV presented a series of ‘Digital Health Connect’ workshops throughout Queensland. The project helped increase the digital literacy of those people living with HIV in Queensland who might have struggled using computers or accessing digital health options. The project was facilitated by members of our QPP peer navigation team.
Our team delivered workshops in Brisbane, Toowoomba, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Hervey Bay, Bundaberg, Rockhampton, Townsville & Cairns, supporting 40 participants to improve their digital skills.
The free two day workshops helped participants learn computer skills like how to: create and use an email address, access government and banking services online, participate in online social forums and post to social media, make zoom calls and use telehealth, keep safe online, and access trustworthy health and HIV information. This workshop program has come to an end.
